On 13 May 2025, the Indian Army launched Operation Keller in the Shoekal Keller region of Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir, following credible intelligence input from a Rashtriya Rifles unit about the presence of terrorists.
As the troops conducted the search operation, they came under heavy fire, prompting a fierce gunfight. In the ensuing clash, three hardcore terrorists were eliminated by the security forces.
The operation is still underway as the Army continues to sanitize the area and ensure complete security.
